A practical Workspace guide

Give the next support owner the whole picture.

Use a Clanker Project to organize the relevant support thread, issue notes, and approved product information. Ask an Agent for a sourced timeline, attempted fixes, open questions, and a draft handoff. Have the support owner check it before assigning or replying.

Start with $20 in included credits. See usage and plans.

Collect the record without unrelated customer data

Use the relevant messages, timestamps, and supporting notes. Remove unnecessary personal details and credentials. Include the reporting timezone so an event order does not depend on an ambiguous clock.

State whether the issue is ongoing, intermittent, or only reported in an older message. A customer report is evidence of their experience, not proof of a specific root cause.

Preserve what each event establishes

In a fictional thread, a user reports an upload failure, support suggests a retry, and the user has not yet confirmed the result. The brief should not announce resolution.

Preserve what each event establishes
RecordWhat the brief may say
Initial messageUpload failure reported at the stated time.
Support replyRetry suggested; not evidence it was attempted.
No follow-upOutcome unconfirmed; request the missing result.

Ask for facts, attempts, and next questions

Request an escalation brief with impact as reported, the event timeline, attempted steps, current evidence, and missing information. Separate a suspected cause from a confirmed finding.

Keep a proposed reply in a separate draft file if useful. Do not allow polished language to imply a resolution time or service promise that the approved notes do not support.

Have the next owner verify the packet

Open the saved brief and trace important statements to the thread. Check whether “suggested” became “completed,” or “cannot reproduce” became “fixed.” Confirm the intended assignee and the next question.

This workflow begins with supplied material. Direct ticket reads, assignment changes, or outgoing replies need a supported connection and deliberate authorization. Keeping a local export does not connect the ticketing system.

Try it with a small example.

Open Workspace

Copy into a Workspace Session. Opening Workspace does not send it automatically.

Before you use the result.

  • Suggested actions are distinct from attempted actions.
  • Resolution and cause claims have evidence.
  • The next question and owner are explicit.

Common questions.

Will this workflow update my support tickets?

The example prepares files from supplied material. It does not update or close tickets. Direct actions require a supported connection, selected tools, and permission.

Can an Agent infer the root cause from a customer thread?

It can help list hypotheses and missing evidence. A plausible explanation should remain unconfirmed until the responsible team verifies it with the necessary technical evidence.

Can I reuse the escalation structure for other cases?

Yes. Keep the format and review checklist in Agent or Project instructions. Keep each case’s source material and customer details in the appropriate Project and verify access before sharing.
